A month long celebration of all things SPOOKY!
October 1st -7th- Banned Books Week! What is scarier than censorship and taking away our rights as citizens of the United States???? Why are books banned? What can you do to stop books from being banned in your community? Why is it important? Stay tuned and check back for all of the events planned for this very important issue.
Thursday, October 5th- First Thursday on 6th! A streetwide event with businesses staying open late, art shows, live music, specials, snacks, and of course our fabulous local eateries! Aunt EEk's hosts a maker's market from 4-7pm, Drag Queen Story Time at 6:30, and Open Mic at 7:30. This month's theme will be Banned Books and Censorship with some spookiness thrown in for good measure!
Sunday, October 8th- Join us for for A Spell Book Decor Crafting Class from 1-4pm. $10 to take home your very own Spell Book Decor all supplies included! Make it as spooky (or not spooky) as you wish!
Saturday, October 21st- RockaRillo on 66- A Classic Rock Celebration of Route 66 All Day, Street Wide Event featuring Live Music, A Kids Area, Shopping, Food and Loads of Fun!
Tuesday, October 31st- Creepy Crawl! Street Wide Event benefitting San Jac Coalition and their support of our historic San Jacinto Neighborhood. Aunt EEk's will be reading Halloween themed books and handing out free books and candy to children along with drawings for adults!
